Laboratori DAU expands the Quality team to cope with the increase in activity in the pharmaceutical area of the packaging laboratory and Quality Control of medicines.

The expansion involves the incorporation of Quality Assurance technicians and technicians who support the Pharmaceutical Technical Management in the qualification and validation processes of both new equipment and manufacturing processes, as well as in the batch certification procedure.

The new structure of this area allows Laboratori DAU to consolidate its position as CMO in commercial drug packaging services and in the research and GMP batch certification phase

In order to respond to the sustained increase in demand from the pharmaceutical sector, Fundació DAU will invest 350,000 euros to double the production capacity of the Quality control laboratory.

Since 2015, when DAU started with the collaboration and support of a pharmaceutical partner, the activity of testing and EU release of batches of imported generic drugs has been increasing. The experience, efficiency and commitment of the Laboratori DAU team has obtained the trust and respect of our customers.

DAU Laboratory has been one of the speakers at the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Day to give an example of a social company that carries its CSR within its own DNA, as Susagna Farré who represented DAU at the event stated.

In the framework of the event organised by Cluster Beauty in collaboration with Co-responsibles, different companies such as Birbox, Martiderm and in the following round table, Respon.cat, FBG, Bellezaysolidaridad.com took part.

DAU demonstrated that it is possible and sustainable to carry out CSR, setting itself as an example of a non-profit foundation with more than 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical sector.

DAU Laboratory has been one of the four winners in the first edition of Trifermed Social Impact, which recognize with social impact in Health area.

Besides Laboratori DAU has been awarded Fundació GAEM , with his Scientist Park in Barcelona, the manager and patron Antoni Vila Casas and José Martinez. Jury was composed by personalities of biomedical area, specifically of Biocat, CataloniaBIO and Esade Creapolis.

In the ceremony and in front of more than 250 of international biotechnological and pharmaceutical professionals, in the name of Fundació DAU, this director said that “Laboratori DAU is strategic in the main mission of the Foundation : the improvement of quality of live of people with Several mental disorder through their incorporation inside Labour market” and “this prize means recognizement and a source of motivation for all us to continue along this way”.

El Alcalde de Barcelona ha inaugurado al Laboratorio de Control de Medicamentos a terceros ubicado en la planta que Laboratori Dau tiene en la Zona Franca de Barcelona.

Esta nueva actividad farmacéutica permitirá la importación, el análisis y la certificación de lotes de medicamentos para el espacio europeo, de formas sólidas, semi sólidas y líquidas para laboratorios europeos.

Para Laboratori Dau, especializado en acondicionamiento primario y secundario de medicamentos, la nueva actividad supone un importante incremento en el nivel de cualificación y responsabilidd en el sector farmacéutico.

Barcelona, 12 de marzo de 2015. Hoy ha tenido lugar el acto de inauguración del Laboratorio de Control de medicamentos de la Fundación Dau en la Zona Franca de Barcelona. El acto ha estado presidido por el Alcalde de Barcelona, el Excmo.Sr. Xavier Trias y el Secretario General del Dpto. de Empresa y Ocupación, Sr. Xavier Gibert. Han contado también con la presencia del Director General de Economía Social, el Sr. Xavier López, entre otras autoridades.

El acto inaugural ha consistido en el descubrimiento de una placa conmemorativa de la efeméride, a cargo del Alcalde. A continuación se ha procedido a la visita comentada del nuevo laboratorio que cuenta con salas equipadas para realizar las pruebas físico-químicas y microbiológicas necesarias para el análisis de los medicamentos.

El Laboratorio Dau, que actualmente cuenta con 65 trabajadores, es un partner estratégico para las empresas farmacéuticas especializado en el acondicionado primario y secundario de medicamentos y productos cosméticos, con una capacidad productiva de 23 millones de unidades anuales en su planta de 7.000 m2 de la Zona Franca de Barcelona, certificada en las normas GMP de Medicamentos.

La nueva actividad inaugurada hoy juntamente con la ubicación de la planta cercana al Puerto, Aeropuerto y Autopistas convierten al Laboratori Dau en uno de los colaboradores más competitivos para aquellas farmacéuticas que decidan comercializar medicamentos en cualquier país de la Unión Europea.
